Carriage Rides (Tues/Wed/Fri)

December 1 - 22 • 6:30 - 8:30 p.m. • South Peachtree St.

Carriage rides will be dashing through Norcross throughout the month of December, boarding in front of Taste of Britain on South Peachtree St. in Historic Downtown Norcross. Joe Watkins has provided carriage rides to the city for more than 20 years— come be a part of a Norcross Christmas Tradition! Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays through December 22nd from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.

Historic Norcross Holiday Gala

December 2 • 6:30 - 8:30 p.m. • The Rectory

Norcross’ historic rectory will be dressed to impress when the Historic Norcross Business Association (HNBA) rolls out the red carpet for its Holiday Gala on December 2nd. Gala guests will be the first to experience The Rectory’s newest installation, Seasons of Style…Joy is Always in Fashion, and the silent auction is sure to bring even more joy to the evening by offering guests the opportunity to bid on The Rectory’s six elegantly decorated, one-of-a-kind trees. 

Tickets are limited for this black-tie optional event and are available for $75 per person at Carolee’s, Taste of Britain, Antique Traditions and Anna Balkan's Jewelry. Gala proceeds benefit the Norcross Preservation Alliance and HNBA.

Tree Lighting

December 3 • 5:30 p.m. • Thrasher Park

Let there be light! The City of Norcross will once again be honored to have Norcross resident Steven Howington officially light the city’s Christmas tree. For over 30 years, Howington, who has Down Syndrome, has lit our tree. The Norcross First United Methodist Church choir will delight audiences from the Thrasher Park stage, and Santa is coming to Norcross in his big red firetruck and will be available take photos and hear Christmas wishes from his workshop in the park. “Jingle All the Way” will be playing on the big screen while you wait in line to meet Santa, and a local group of Disney princess performers (as well as the one, the only, The Grinch) will also be on hand to add to the Christmas magic. Enjoy free hot cocoa (while supplies last) courtesy of the Norcross Lions Club, and s’mores courtesy of the City of Norcross.

Jingle all the way to this year’s Historic Downtown Norcross Christmas Village hosted by the Historic Norcross Business Association, December 3-5. Step back in time and get ready to enjoy some good old-fashioned fun for everyone all weekend long!

Seasons of Style Exhibition

December 3 - 12 • The Rectory

Ticketed guests of the Historic Norcross Holiday Gala on December 2nd will be the first to experience The Rectory’s newest installation, Seasons of Style…Joy is Always in Fashion. Seasons of Style treats visitors to a cheerful array of vintage holiday dresses, each paired perfectly with a colorfully coordinated Christmas tree and delightful holiday décor. The Seasons of Style exhibition will then be open to the public from December 3 through 12. Hours are Saturdays from 1 - 6 p.m., Sundays from 1 - 4 p.m. and weekdays by reservation only (call 678-421-2049). Admission is free.

Photos with Santa (Wed/Fri)

December 8 - 22 • 6 - 8 p.m. • 45 South Cafe

We hope you’ve been nice this year because Santa himself will be visiting Downtown Norcross! Come take a free photo and whisper your special Christmas wish on Wednesdays and Fridays at 45 South Cafe on South Peachtree St. from 6 to 8 p.m. until December 22nd. Santa will also be in town on Tuesdays, but a photographer will not be present.
