Neighborhood Cleanup & Recycling Day
The City of Norcross hosts two Neighborhood Cleanup and Recycling Days each year, one in Spring and one in Fall. When details are available, they will be linked below with a pdf packet in English and Spanish detailing the locations and times of various activities, along with what items are accepted.

Recycling & Cleanup Event
Drop-off collections available for Single-stream Recycling, Glass Recycling, Hard-to-Recycle Materials and Bulk Material Disposal. Hazardous material (batteries, paint, large car parts, motor, tires, oil, anti-freeze, concrete, household chemicals and similar items) WILL NOT BE ALLOWED. Items must be of reasonable size and environmentally safe to be disposed of properly. 8:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. at Norcross Public Works (345 Lively Avenue)
Single-Stream Recycling
Drop off single-stream recyclable materials (empty and dry #1-2 plastic bottles and jugs, aluminum and steel cans; mixed paper (not shredded), flattened cardboard, and cartons).
Glass Recycling
Drop off glass bottles. (Remember that this service is available regularly on Monday-Friday from 8:00am- 5:00 p.m.!)
Hard to Recycle Materials
Drop off the following hard to recycle materials:
- Natural wine corks (No plastic)
- Eyeglasses, hearing aids, cell phones (Remove personal information)
- Tennis shoes/sneakers (Any condition)
- Clean towels and blankets
- Clean grocery bags
- Individually wrapped eating utensils and unopened condiment packets. (Donated to extended stay hotel residents)
- Plastic planter pots
- Medicine bottles (Washed and removed labels) The Police Department lobby has a secure drop box for expired and leftover medications. Must deposit the medicines yourself.
Scrap Metal Recycling
Drop off any scrap metal (steel, copper, aluminum, and stainless) to be endlessly recycled into new material!
Bulk Material Disposal
Drop off any irreparable bulky items and accumulated trash. Solvent or hazardous material (batteries, paint, large car parts, motor, tires, oil, anti-freeze, concrete, household chemicals and similar items) WILL NOT BE ALLOWED. Items must be of reasonable size and environmentally safe to be disposed of properly.
Shredding Event
Shred-it will be on site with their shred truck! Watch on the video display as your materials are shredded securely. Limited to 5 medium boxes or equivalent.
9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. (or until truck is full) at Norcross City Hall, 65 Lawrenceville Street
Free Shred and Recycle
Bring up to 5 medium boxes (or the equivalent).

- Canceled or blank checks
- Insurance coverage
- Financial statements
- Legal papers
- Medical records
- Personal bills
- Investment Information
- Credit card offers/information
STOP IDENTITY THEFT & RECYCLE, TOO!
Public Welcome: Watch materials being shredded on video display monitor. No need to remove paper clips, folders, notebooks, etc.
Electronics Recycling Event
Recycle old cell phones, computers, keyboards and more! City volunteers will help you unload. 8:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. at Norcross Public Works (345 Lively Ave.)
Please Recycle your electronics so that steel, glass, plastic and precious metals can be Recovered, Recycled and Reused with Ecycle Atlanta.
