Expect traffic delays throughout Norcross' Historic District Saturday morning between 8am and approximately 10:30am. The City of Norcross is hosting a pre-qualifying race for the Annual Peachtree Road Race, with over 500 runners expected for this event. Organized by The Atlanta Track Club, the timed race will begin and end in Thrasher Park, with a 5K route that loops through the City's historic residential district (10K runners will run the route twice.)

Off-duty members of the Norcross Police Department (NPD) will be on hand for traffic and crowd control, and anticipate keeping North Peachtree and other sections of the route open to vehicular traffic as much as possible, keeping the runners' safety in foremost account.

Streets will be completely re-opened by 11am.

Residents attending the Easter Egg Hunt in Rossie Brundage Park at 10am that morning may wish to use alternative routes through the downtown area - no streets east of the railroad tracks (including South Peachtree Street) or south of Holcomb Bridge Road are included in the race route.

Holcomb Bridge Road will remain open.
