Work has been humming along for the last few weeks after a slowdown in May/early June due to the presence of rock and some administrative issues between Gwinnett County and the water line contractor. Those have been resolved and the water line work is in the testing phase. There will be a water outage for several hours required to tie the new section into the public main. We are currently tracking that outage for early in the week of 7/13; we will keep affected residents informed and do our best to mitigate the inconvenience. Lastly, you may have noticed that the stone retaining wall veneer had to be removed this week. Early last week it became apparent that the workmanship of the stonework did not meet specifications. A new wall builder has been contracted to re-do the veneer, and the overall schedule shouldn’t be impacted. Contractually they have until the end of August to complete the project.
