Original Notice 7/8:
As part of our N. Peachtree Sidewalk Renovation project, a section of water main must be relocated. The installation of the relocated line is complete, and the line is currently being tested for pressure and chlorination. This process takes several days before acceptance by Gwinnett County Department of Water Resources, and then the new line will be tapped into the public main.
We expect that on Monday, July 13th, a water outage will affect residents on N. Peachtree between Sunset Dr. and Oak Cove Dr. while the contractors tie into the public main and transfer residential service lines onto the new water main. The outage is expected to be between the hours of 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. for this one day. We wanted to notify you as far in advance as possible, and we will let you know if anything changes this schedule. Residents in this are will be receiving written notices in their mailbox, and Gwinnett Department of Water Resourceswill also post notices about 24 hours in advance.
If you have any questions, please contact Erica Madsen, City Engineer, at 678-421-2032. We apologize for the inconvenience!
