On Tuesday 7/21, the City was notified that the intended location for the fire hydrant location could not be achieved due to more rock. The design and construction teams have been trying to get a revised location identified and approved by Gwinnett county since that time. We seem to have a workable solution now, but it will require official approval before the fire hydrant can be removed for finishing construction of the retaining wall. In the meantime, construction is still moving forward with underground stormwater piping installation. That construction will proceed through at least 8/7, and be followed by curb and gutter and sidewalk installation.
