Construction continues on the curb/gutter, drainage and sidewalks on N. Peachtree. The remaining concrete and drainage structures should be completed this week. A 2-week review of a revised fire hydrant location by Gwinnett County has held up the final wall segment construction. Fortunately, we got approval last Thursday 8/13 and the hydrant relocation should be complete today, 8/17. No water outage is associated with this relocation. The remaining wall footing will be constructed with a 2 day cure time before the masonry block can be set and stone veneer applied. We are hoping for final completion of the wall by the end of next week, weather permitting.
Asphalt crews are currently scheduled for the week of 8/24, if we can hold the rain off. Rain is expected and likely later this week, and could delay things into the 1st or 2nd week of September. We are getting so close! We thank the residents and motorists for their patience as the project wraps up.
Erica Madsen will host a short 20-30 min info session on Zoom tomorrow 8/18 at 12-noon. She will review the information posted above and answer questions from attendees. Here is the link for interested parties: https://zoom.us/j/91760761114?pwd=TEJzMHl3QmlxR1BDZW5KdUxkZ25iQT09
