The city is now accepting applications for the Tree Preservation Board, Sustainable Norcross Commission and Norcross Public Arts Commission.
The Tree Preservation Board is responsible for the preservation of trees and conservation of tree canopy cover within the city. They meet bi-monthly on the second Wednesday of the month at 10:00 a.m. We are seeking professional expertise in arboriculture or horticulture or land development/construction to fill this vacancy.
The Sustainable Norcross Commission is responsible for educating citizens and advising the city regarding sustainability and environmental matters. This includes programs such as the Norcross Community Market and Bike/Ped Community. They meet on the second Wednesday of each month at 6:00 p.m.
The Norcross Public Arts Commission is responsible for cultivating a growing, creative arts community in Norcross and advising the city regarding arts and culture matters. They meet on the fourth Tuesday of each month at 6:30 p.m.
