On Wednesday, November 2, the City of Norcross was awarded the Outstanding Urban Arboriculture Grand Award for Tree Canopy Management and Development by the Georgia Tree Council at their Thirtieth Annual Awards Luncheon in Rome, GA.
Awards are presented to individuals and organizations that have demonstrated outstanding service toward the preservation and enhancement of our urban forests.
Receiving the award on behalf of the City were Tree Preservation Board Chair Charlotte Osborn, Tree Preservation Board Member Michelle Osborne, City Arborist Daniel Tew, and Assistant City Manager Tracy Rye.
