A message from Norcross Police Department’s Chief Grogan:
The Norcross Police Department is committed to providing the best possible service to our residents and businesses, especially during times such as these. You have my commitment as your Chief of Police that we are here for you, in force, all day of every day, no different than last month or last year. My goal is to maintain a healthy staff of officers and support folks who can respond to emergency calls for service. Our Communications Officers have been instructed to identify emergency needs when answering calls and dispatching officers immediately, no different than we always have. However, to minimize face-to-face interaction when possible, Communications Officers are advising callers with non-emergency needs that an officer will contact them via telephone and handle as much of the reporting taking and preliminary investigation via phone and email. Our PD lobby is open, however we ask that you call 770-448-2111 to speak with us on the phone first. This will help us provide you with the maximum number of police officers today, tomorrow and until this pandemic has passed. I ask for your continued prayers for all first responders who serve you.
