The City of Norcross has seen an increase in door-to-door solicitation in recent days. Under the current circumstances, the city has announced they will not be issuing any permits for door-to-door solicitation. As solicitation requires a permit according to city regulations, this means any solicitation at this time is unlawful and may be reported to the police department at (770) 448-2111.

“We have already increased our business checks and neighborhood patrols looking for suspicious activity,” stated Norcross Police Chief Bill Grogan. “As part of social distancing, most packages and food deliveries are being left on your doorstep, which means it is much less likely these days that you will have someone knocking on your door. If you do get a knock, simply be vigilant of potential scammers and other unlawful activity. Ask yourself if you are expecting someone or a delivery. Look through the peephole or window. If at all in doubt, we encourage you to report suspicious activity by calling 770-448-2111. Please, if you see something, say something.”
