Yesterday, the City of Norcross issued a statement announcing a new Emergency Ordinance closing certain businesses temporarily, among other modifications to community operations in the face of the current local state of emergency. This statement joins similar statements issued by other cities and the county; all 16 cities in Gwinnett have agreed to issue these orders in concert with the county government.

“We are thankful to the leadership and efforts of the Gwinnett County Board of Commissioners, Chairman Charlotte Nash and our peer cities,” stated Mayor Craig Newton. “Measures are significantly more impactful when conducted in tandem. Together, we will see our community through this pandemic.”
