The city is now accepting applications to serve on the Norcross Development Authority (NDA), which the Mayor and Council reactivated by resolution on June 1, 2020. This board is not to be confused with the Downtown Development Authority (DDA); while similar, they serve different areas.
The NDA is a city-wide authority that is responsible for facilitating revitalization and redevelopment activities throughout the City of Norcross as well as helping to create a climate favorable to the location of new industry, trade and commerce. This authority may also issue bonds to finance projects in order to promote the foregoing objectives.
The NDA consists of seven (7) members appointed to serve four-year terms. A regularly scheduled meeting day and time has not been established as yet.
Experience in affordable housing, commercial lending, banking and real estate is desirable but not required.
All members must be Norcross residents.
If you are interested in having an active role in the development and growth of business in Norcross, please contact City Clerk, Monique Lang (monique.lang@norcrossga.net) to submit your application to serve. You can learn more, including meeting days, mission and list of other citizens serving on each board and commission on the city website under City Government tab.
