There are certain protocols for public commenting on Zoom. First, please mute your electronic devices upon entering the teleconference. When it is time for public comment, the mayor will open the floor and at this time, only attendees wishing to make a public comment, should use the “RAISE YOUR HAND (✋)” tool to enter the queue for public commenting. Public comments will be heard in the order for which hands are raised. Once it is your turn to speak, your microphone will be unmuted by the Conference Host. Afterward, your microphone will be muted once again, and the next speaker will follow. Once the public comment or public hearing is over, you will not be allowed to speak again. The time limit for an individual’s public comments shall remain under 5 minutes.
