Sensory Inclusivity

KultureCity is a leading nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting inclusivity and accessibility for individuals with sensory needs and invisible disabilities. Through innovative programs, training and partnerships, KultureCity works to create sensory-inclusive environments in public spaces, events and communities worldwide.

Sensory accommodations include sensory bags, quiet zones in the park and trained staff to assist individuals with sensory sensitivities. Plus, the KultureCity App also provides a Social Story to help visitors know what to expect before attending an event.

During events at Thrasher Park, attendees can visit the KultureCity Station located to the left of the stage to pick up a Sensory Bag. The bag includes noise-canceling headphones, sunglasses, fidget tools, verbal cue cards and weighted lap pads to help individuals feel more comfortable in stimulating environments.

At Thrasher Park, we’ve set up special Headphone Zones in front of the stage and near the playground where the noise can get a bit loud—so feel free to use the headphones from your sensory bag for a more comfortable experience! If you need a quiet spot to unwind, the Quiet Areas are located near the benches at the back of the park.
