Records

This section is responsible for the management of departmental records, accident, and arrest reports generated by the Norcross Police Department.  The Records Clerks are supervised by Communications/Records Supervisor Taylor Johnson.

Records personnel also serve as the liaison with various judicial agencies related to the prosecution of persons arrested, the Uniform Crime Reporting management, and compliance with State of Georgia Open Records and Record Retention laws.

Services:

Open Records Requests
Open Records Requests can be submitted online at JustFOIA. After the first 15 minutes is at $17.17 per hour.

Incident Reports
Incident reports are available within 3-5 business days and may be requested online at JustFOIA or BuyCrash for a $13.00 fee.

Accident Reports
Accident reports are available within 3-5 business days and may be requested through JustFOIA.

Criminal History Check
With a Criminal History Request Form signed by the individual to be checked and valid identification, the Norcross Police Department can perform a criminal history check only within the State of Georgia for a $20 fee. 

Records Restriction
The individual MUST appear in person to our Records Department with a completed Records Restriction Form, a Georgia Criminal history, identification, certified copy of the disposition. The cost is $25.

Fingerprint Services
As of Monday, June 12, 2023 our Records Department will begin fingerprint services for individuals. Please adhere to the new hours and safety protocols.

  • Hours: Monday - Friday from 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
  • Live Scan fingerprinting is available.

Applicant fingerprinting can be required for a variety of reasons such as adoptions, child care providers, bar exams, bankers, etc. A Live Scan fingerprint system allows us to take fingerprints without the use of messy ink.

The fee for fingerprinting is as follows:

  • First two cards - $10 each
  • Each Additional Card - $2

(Fingerprints will be done on FD-258 cards provided by the police department only)
